Marshal & Starter Coordinator ~ Wintergreen Golf & Country Club
Every day at Wintergreen Golf & Country Club brings something new—learning new skills, meeting great people, and enjoying the incredible atmosphere of working outdoors in the beautiful Foothills. As the Marshal & Starter Coordinator, you play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day flow of on-course golf operations. Through leadership, organization, and exceptional guest service, you help create an outstanding golf experience for our members and guests while fostering a welcoming and enjoyable environment on the course.
Key Responsibilities
You Will:

Coordinate and oversee the Marshal & Starter Program, including volunteer recruitment, training, scheduling, and supervision.

Provide exceptional customer service by welcoming golfers, assisting with tee-time departures, and supporting guests throughout their round.

Monitor pace of play by ensuring marshals are effectively managing on-course flow and assisting golfers when needed.

Maintain the starter and marshal areas, including the starter hut and golf carts, ensuring they remain clean, organized, and well-presented.

Assist with member events and corporate tournament setup to support successful golf events.

Provide support for Outside Pro Shop operations as needed.

Complete all required Health & Safety training and always follow safe operating procedures.

Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Are self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Enjoy working outdoors and are comfortable standing for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
Position Details

Seasonal position: May through early October (golf season)

Schedule: Approximately 4 shifts per week (4 hours per shift)

Availability: Early mornings, evenings, weekdays, and weekends

Summer sightseeing lifts operate at both Fernie Alpine Resort and Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, both which also offer fantastic Downhill Mountain Biking and mountain top dining throughout the summer season. Fernie Alpine Resort is also home to the New Aerial Park & Zipline Adventure Centre in the summer, while Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is home to Canada’s Largest Protected Grizzly Bear Habitat – home to Boo the Bear
