About the role
- Authority to take photographs and video within Multimatic. Usage of photos is restricted to internal use only and/ or sending externally as part of job-related correspondence
- Coordinate a multidiscipline team in the preparation of control plans for prototype, pre-production and production status for new programs following IATF 16949 requirements.
- Participate in the multidiscipline team that develops PFMEA.
- Coordinate (with the participation of the APQP and the operations team) the sourcing and build of component and/or assembly and subassembly checking fixtures.
- Participate with engineering and customers in the determination of key characteristics and measurement locators.
- Participate with program teams in design reviews.
- Participate with program teams in DFMEA reviews.
- Coordinate with program teams in the selection of measurement points for SPC in all stages of the production process.
- Participate in problem solving teams for programs assigned.
- Review part drawings and specifications of programs assigned.
- Assist in implementation of new engineering changes for programs assigned.
- Advise management of all potential problems or concerns and offer any opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with developing optimum processing parameters for new and ongoing programs as assigned.
- Work with customers, production, and the quality manager to resolve customer issues.
- Work with quality team to monitor appropriate product characteristics and develop improvement plans for unfavorable trends and continually improve product quality.
- Once aware of a product or process non-conformance, stop further processing and inform area supervisor or manager responsible.
- Experience working with Honda as an OEM would be an asset.
- Follow all departmental and general procedures where applicable.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager and/or Department Manager.
- Abide by all company safety rules, responsibilities, policies, and procedures including the legislative requirements of the OHSA.
- Work in compliance and conform to the Environment and ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 standards.
- Adopt and practice Kaizen principles; participate in Kaizen and GEAR activities.
