Onsite Role, Toronto
About the role:
The Capital Markets Project Specialist will provide exceptional internal support to a high performing group of Advisors specializing in various asset classes. The support you provide is second to none - not only are you detailed oriented, but you excel at creating industry leading marketing collateral and have a strong sense of ownership for your work. Your ability to research and analyze real estate information allows you to stay two steps ahead and your insights are valued. This position focuses on project management, proposals, presentations, report writing, data analysis, target marketing, transaction administration and/or client-facing activities. You will be a true partner that contributes to the teams’ growth daily.
- Work with Advisor(s) to create and prepare content for proposals, either Colliers – direct or in response to RFI’s and RFP’s
- Assist in the development of listing pitches/presentations
- Prepare surveys (lease and sales comparable, availabilities)
- Liaise with appropriate departments to obtain data, such as company and title searches, and property particulars (e.g. financial, marketing, research)
- Responsible for project coordination and execution of marketing collateral (property brochures, email templates, maps, mail pieces, broker events) for listings
- Strategize, initiate and manage overall marketing campaign/plan as it relates to Advisor(s) listing (schedule digital and social media updates and broker events)
- Maintain records of correspondence, complete marketing update reports and client activity reports
- Attend listing presentations, liaise with Advisor(s) regarding listing inquiries, set-up and facilitate tours
- Assist in management and coordination of transaction and due diligence processes – sign backs, going firm, amendments, subject removals, closing documentation, deposit monies, processing trade records. Entering deal sheets and submitting completed trade record and supporting paperwork to Deal Administration team.
- Draft or edit legal documents (letters of intent, offers, commission agreements, listing agreements, Multiple Listing Service agreements)
- Coordination of information for clients, availability information, required documentation, dealing with on-going or closing issues, critical date management and organizing meetings
- Prepare a variety of reports for clients and/or for internal requirements (e.g. activity reports for clients, management reports, various industry research updates)
- Compliance Expertise (FINTRAC, Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), Real Estate Board requirements)
What you bring:
- A bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field is required. Previous real estate experience is an asset
- Strong financial analysis skills
- At least 3 to 4 years of related experience.
- Experience in the Commercial real estate sector or a related industry is required.
- Possesses strong computer skills, including intermediate - advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel. InDesign knowledge is considered an asset
- Experience conducting research through MLS, MPAC, RealNet, and/or the Internet is required.
- A demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in day-to-day work in an accurate manner.
- Must be detail-oriented; possesses outstanding verbal and written communication skills
