###Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior Tableau Developer to join our Analytics team as a hands-on expert and client-facing consultant. This role is ideal for someone who brings deep technical expertise in Tableau, strong problem-solving ability, and a proven track record of delivering high-impact dashboards in client environments.

You will own the end-to-end development of Tableau solutions, from requirements gathering through dashboard delivery, while acting as a trusted partner to business stakeholders.

###What You’ll Do

Client Engagement and Delivery

• Work directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements, challenges, and goals
• Act as a trusted advisor, translating business needs into effective Tableau solutions
• Own end-to-end delivery from data sourcing to dashboard deployment
• Drive meaningful business impact through actionable insights and recommendations

Tableau Development and Technical Expertise

• Design and develop advanced Tableau dashboards using complex calculations, nested LOD expressions, and parameter-driven logic
• Build highly interactive and intuitive dashboards that support executive-level decision-making
• Apply strong UX and data visualization principles to create clear, compelling data stories
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across dashboards, calculations, and data sources

Performance Optimization

• Optimize Tableau dashboards for performance at scale, including large datasets and complex data models
• Design efficient extract strategies and manage live vs extract trade-offs
• Tune queries and improve performance across the full data-to-visualization pipeline
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks impacting dashboard responsiveness and usability

Data Modeling and Data Understanding

• Work with and design data models that support scalable and high-performing dashboards
• Apply strong understanding of joins, relationships, and data structures within Tableau
• Collaborate with data teams to ensure data is structured optimally for reporting and analytics
• Trace data issues back to source systems using SQL and resolve discrepancies

Problem Solving and Quality

• Independently solve complex and ambiguous data and visualization challenges
• Handle edge cases and data inconsistencies with minimal guidance
• Ensure high standards of data accuracy, validation, and dashboard quality
• Conduct thorough testing to ensure reliability and usability of solutions

###What You Bring

• 5+ years of hands-on Tableau development experience in production environments
• Proven expertise in advanced Tableau features, including nested LOD expressions, parameter actions, and complex calculated fields
• Strong experience delivering end-to-end Tableau solutions from requirements to deployment
• Demonstrated ability to optimize performance for large-scale dashboards and datasets
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and how they impact performance and usability
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders in a client-facing or consulting environment
• Excellent data visualization and storytelling skills with a focus on executive communication
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently on complex challenges

Nice to Have

• Tableau certification
• Experience with additional BI tools such as Power BI
• Exposure to cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Azure, or AWS

Additional Requirement

• Portfolio of Tableau dashboards or examples of previous work demonstrating advanced capabilities and business impact
