About The Project We’re a climate-focused startup developing a new water-holding soft-goods product for outdoor use. The product requires durable, waterproof construction using coated textiles and welded seams.

We’re looking for an experienced technical soft-goods designer to help take a concept through patterning, materials selection, prototyping, and manufacturing-ready documentation.

What You’ll Work On

This role involves supporting the development of a welded soft-goods bag using advanced construction methods. Work may include:

  • Material research (TPU-coated, PVC-coated, or other weldable textiles)
  • 2D pattern creation suitable for RF welding or heat-sealing
  • Seam layout, reinforcement, and panel geometry
  • Light 3D surface modeling for form studies
  • Prototype refinement and manufacturability feedback
  • Preparing tech packs for production partners

We will share full specifications after an NDA.

Required Experience Please apply only if you have experience with:

  • RF-welded or heat-sealed soft-goods
  • TPU/PVC-coated textiles
  • Dry bags, hydration reservoirs, inflatable products, or other waterproof gear
  • Creating production-ready 2D patterns (DXF, AI, etc.)
  • Soft-goods prototyping and iteration

Nice to Have

  • Outdoor gear, industrial soft goods, or pack design experience
  • Experience working with low-volume or early-stage prototypes
  • Understanding of load-bearing straps or anchor points (general)
