Title: Senior Field Supervisor
Location: Whitehorse, Yukon
Position Status: Full Time
Reports to: Client Service Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Field Supervisor plays a critical leadership role within Commissionaires Whitehorse operations, ensuring 24/7 service excellence and operational readiness across multiple sites. This position provides after-hours supervision, conducts quality assurance checks, and supports the effective scheduling, training, and performance of front-line security personnel. Acting as a bridge between field staff and management, the Senior Field Supervisor ensures all security operations meet client expectations, comply with post orders, and align with Commissionaires’ core values of integrity, service, and professionalism. The role also includes specialized responsibilities such as drug and alcohol testing, fingerprinting, and emergency response coordination.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform the duties of Site Supervisor during silent hours.
- Review the TrackTik schedule daily and approve incident reports for the Client Services Manager.
- Conduct Drug and Alcohol Screening (training provided).
- Serve as an ID Services Fingerprint Technician (training provided; Commissionaires is RCMP-accredited to capture fingerprints).
- Respond to after-hours alarm calls when scheduled.
- Ensure all guard posts are staffed, trained, and performing duties per regulations and client requirements.
- Provide direction and instructions to staff and ensure comprehension of all post orders.
- Verify that patrols are completed according to schedule.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, uniform appearance, and site cleanliness.
- Support training, motivation, and evaluation of personnel to ensure operational excellence.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Site Supervisor or Client Services Manager.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Eligible for Level I (Secret) Security Clearance.
- Able to obtain and maintain a Yukon Professional Security Licence.
- Able to obtain a RAIC (Restricted Area Identity Card) – Transport Canada.
- Able to obtain an AVOP (Airside Vehicle Operator Permit) – DA (Restricted to Apron 1).
- Possess a valid Class 5 Yukon Driver’s Licence.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders in a professional and respectful manner.
- Effective multitasking and decision-making skills, particularly under pressure.
- Proven leadership ability with minimal supervision.
- Experience training, motivating, and supervising security personnel.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of service and professionalism.
