About the role
Qualitrol is seeking a Calibration & Repair Technician to support the Iris-Generation product lines . This role is responsible for performing calibration, diagnostics, and repair of instrumentation and sub-assemblies, while ensuring high-quality documentation, on-time delivery, and continuous improvement feedback to manufacturing and design teams. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on technical skills, attention to detail, and a problem-solving mindset within a regulated or precision manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform calibration and repair services for all Iris-Generation product lines in accordance with company procedures and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation and sub-assemblies originating from the production line and field returns.
- Generate accurate calibration reports and certificates in compliance with internal and customer requirements.
- Complete detailed troubleshooting and repair reports, documenting findings, actions taken, and outcomes.
- Ensure on-time delivery of all calibration and repair activities, meeting internal SLAs and customer expectations.
- Investigate root causes of failures and collaborate with cross-functional teams to recommend improvements to production processes and product design.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with Qualitrol and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Technical diploma, associate degree, or equivalent experience in electronics, instrumentation, mechatronics, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with calibration, testing, and repair of electronic or electromechanical instrumentation.
- Strong troubleshooting skills at the component and sub-assembly level.
- Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation and reports.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a manufacturing, aerospace, industrial, or regulated environment.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
- Experience with root cause analysis methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone).
- Exposure to continuous improvement or Lean manufacturing principles.
