About the role

Company Introduction: T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 37 stores across the country: 14 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 14 in Ontario, and 2 in Quebec. The Company’s continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.

The Role: Reporting to the Senior Employee Relations Specialist, the Human Resources Analyst supports employee relations programs and activities by serving as the primary contact for administrative tasks, and contributes to employee engagement through program coordination, documentation, and case management. The job incumbent will also be responsible for other duties assigned to support the efficient operation of the Human Resources Department.

  • Major Responsibilities: Serve as main contact for employment certificates and long-term sick leave letters.

  • Support staff complaints, forums, and employee matters with documentation and record-keeping.

  • Manage annual and quarterly programs (awards, scholarships, Take Our Kids to Work) and deliver presentations.

  • Handle legal or ICBC documentation related to employee incidents.

  • Conduct exit interviews and maintain logs.

  • Process reimbursements and outside employment applications.

  • Prepare reports and summaries on employee programs.

  • Support workplace culture initiatives and HR operations while maintaining confidentiality.

  • Deliver staff announcements and presentations; ability to communicate in both English and Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin) is an asset.

  • Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in HR or related field.

  • 1–2 years office experience, preferably HR.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills; English required. Ability to read and review documents in Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin) is an asset.

  • Skilled in delivering staff announcements and presentations in English and Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin) is an asset.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, able to prioritize multiple tasks.

  • Integrity and professionalism in handling confidential information.

  • Event planning experience and solution-focused approach.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).

Shift

5-day work week (Monday to Friday), 9:00am – 5:30pm
