PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Code Dental Clinic is a non-profit dental clinic that provides extractions and restorative procedures at half the cost of a regular clinic. Serving the Nanaimo community for over a decade, we are a specialized dentistry practice providing compassionate and quality services to adults who experience persistent barriers to accessing dental health care. The clinic is located at unit 201 – 489 Wallace St, Nanaimo.
ROLE PURPOSE:
We are looking for a casual Certified Dental Assistant (CDA), accreditation through the British Columbia College of Oral Health Professionals (BCCOHP), to join our team at the CODE clinic in downtown Nanaimo. This is a casual position, with work schedules varying based on clinic operations. Dental Assistant experience is preferred but we are willing to train. This position offers the opportunity to work in a rewarding environment that has a great work culture.

EXPEREINCE AND SKILLS:
- Dental Assisting for one year (Preferred, but willing to train)

REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to successfully complete a Vulnerable Persons Criminal Records Check
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) accreditation through the British Columbia College of Oral Health Professionals (BCCOHP)
- Successful Reference Check
COMPENSATION
The hourly wage range for the role is $30 to $32 and will be based on experience and qualifications. This role is also eligible for the organization's comprehensive benefits package. The hourly wage range provided represents the total compensation plan for this position. Actual hourly wage placement will be determined based on a variety of factors, including pay equity, market conditions, candidate experience, internal equity, and organizational priorities. Placement within the range is typically at the midpoint.
Important: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada, observe their weekly hours limit if under a temporary or study visa, and provide proof of eligibility if selected for the role.
