About the role

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots. Broiler and other meat-type chicken production. Chicken farming. Livestock combination farming. Work setting: Rural area. Tasks: Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas. Develop and guide the behaviour of farm animals. Diagnose livestock health issues. Disinfect pens, barns or poultry houses. Handling animals. Marking livestock as proof of ownership. Monitoring animal health. Perform livestock feeding. Prepare a clean, dry area for cows that are calving. Treat livestock health issues. Weaning. Feed and tend animals. Maintain livestock performance records. Perform general farm duties. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Tight deadlines. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Attention to detail.
