About the role
Join the Infrastructure and Operations team in the Specialist, Business Systems position. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert business analysis and system support for the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of enterprise applications, tools, and business systems. You will work closely with business partners, IT teams, and stakeholders to ensure systems meet operational needs, deliver high quality data and reporting, and support informed decision making across the organization.
What you will do:
- Configure, support, and continuously improve enterprise business systems and services (e.g., Dynamics 365, SAP SuccessFactors, Microsoft 365/Power Platform, GSL, etc.), ensuring stable day-to-day operations and a positive end-user experience.
- Lead business analysis activities, including research, data analysis, reporting, and quality control to support business and operational objectives.
- Develop and document functional business requirements, analysis tools, and system solutions, including enhancements, and process improvements.
- Design, build, and maintain complex reports and reporting tools, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and usability of data outputs.
- Plan and conduct system testing, user acceptance testing, and post implementation reviews to ensure solutions meet business needs and quality standards.
- Provide expert guidance on business systems, reporting tools, and data integrity, including identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
- Assess and monitor business system performance, data quality, and access controls to support secure and effective service delivery.
- Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and management, providing recommendations that support strategic objectives and operational decision making.
- Collaborate with IT, business partners, vendors, and auditors, while providing coaching and knowledge transfer to team members as required.
What you should have:
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience can be considered.
- A minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in business analysis or related roles.
- Strong analytical skills, including qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Experience with business systems analysis, systems testing, and project delivery.
- Effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and client relation skills, demonstrating tact and collaboration.
