Position Title: Sales Representative
Location: Richmond, BC
Starting Minimum: $50,000
Job Type: Full Time Permanent
Position Summary:
The Sales Representative, will report to the Sales Manager or designate, plays a critical role in driving food sales and ensuring customer satisfaction. This position involves managing customer orders, developing new business opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. The role focuses on selling to an established and extensive customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Selling to existing customer base, working with call sheets.
- Weekly collection of account balances from customers (distributing statements, credits, and ensuring all invoices are paid according to terms).
- Grow existing customer base using correct company protocol on new account sign ups.
- Attend regular sales meetings either virtually or in person and yearly March conference.
- Responsible for increasing sales and margin in existing customer base.
- Working on adding new product lines.
- Working with customers to setup weekly advertisements to continue to grow business.
- Selling protein specialties.
- Understanding market conditions, product innovations and sales; share information with customers as part of value-added services.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 1 to 2 years progressive sales experience in a similar sized operation; a combination of post-secondary education and experience will also be considered.
- Working knowledge of Halal meat practices and requirements.
- 1 to 3 years of related industry experience required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, customers, colleagues, and staff.
- Ability to work comfortably on computers.
- Self-motivated and able to work in, and outside of an office setting.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability and willingness to travel.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
