Your Opportunity at SECURE:
This role will support SECURE’s Operations team in enhancing process efficiency, supporting daily workflows, and assisting with data analysis tied to production and services. The student will gain hands-on experience in operations management while contributing to special projects that improve productivity across the organization. This position requires the ability to work independently, with some travel expected as part of the role.
This role is based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
The Team:
The student will be based in Saskatoon, working closely with SECURE’s Operations team to support both local and regional activities. The team emphasizes efficiency, problem-solving, and collaboration, while also encouraging students to take ownership of projects and work independently.
A Day in The Life:
- Analyze operational workflows to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
- Track and analyze operational metrics, preparing reports that support performance monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with resource planning and scheduling, ensuring effective allocation of personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Support the development, documentation, and updating of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency across departments.
- Collaborate with the operations team on implementing process improvements and monitoring outcomes.
- Provide operational support on day-to-day activities, ensuring efficiency in production and service workflows.
- Participate in special projects as assigned, contributing insights and solutions to address evolving operational needs.
- Assist with data entry, organization, and reporting for internal stakeholders.
- Support cross-functional communication between operations, field staff, and other departments.
- Travel as required to support operations at different sites.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret workflow data and operational metrics.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in tracking processes, updating documentation, and reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with process mapping tools or operations software is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to document processes and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive and solution-oriented approach to challenges, with the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Willingness and ability to travel for operational support when required.
