AIR INUIT CORPORATE PROFILE Air Inuit has been providing essential scheduled, chartered, cargo and emergency air transport services to Nunavik and beyond- 24 hours a day, 365 days a year - for over 42 years. Collectively owned by the Inuit of Nunavik, through Makivik Corporation, the airline operates a fleet of 30 aircraft and employs approximately 1000 employees in one of the world’s most challenging flight environments.

Position Overview Contributes to the management of material, time and human resources within the framework of IT projects in order to achieve the targeted objectives within the defined time and budget conditions. Analyzes the feasibility and timeliness of the project, define action plans and milestones, coordinate project teams, etc. May cover one or more of the information technology specialties such as technical support, networks, management systems, IT security, etc.
As a high-level professional, offer solutions for improving or optimizing processes, programs and work methods. Contributes to the resolution of complex problems, requiring a comprehensive and in-depth analysis and understanding of all variables. Collaborates with various internal and external stakeholders. Contributes to the knowledge transfer through functional support and coaching of less experienced employees on the team.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Analyze internal requests.
- Assist in creating, monitoring and closing projects according to the standards in place.
- Lead various enhancement, automation and improvement projects for IT systems and business processes.
- Use technical experience to "challenge" partners and technicians in addition to suggesting possible solutions.
- Create documentation and draft procedures.
- Transfer of well-documented files to operations.
Qualifications
- College degree in computer science.
- Minimum 5-9 years’ relevant experience in the IT field.
- Experience having successfully completed small to medium-sized projects.
- Technical and sometime conceptual knowledge.
- Excellent knowledge of MsWindow, MsOffice (including MsProject and MsVisio).
- Good knowledge of Windows
- Good knowledge of Microsoft server systems, virtualization and SAN, infrastructure and telecom in general.
- Database (SQL language).
- Application development knowledge is an asset.
- Good knowledge of project management concepts.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Bilingual (French-English).
- Eager to learn.
- Able to handle stress.
- Attention to details.
- Available to travel in Nunavik (Quebec internal flights).
