About the role

Fleetwood Metal Industries, a division Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate opportunity for a Tool & Die Maker in our Tillsonburg, Ontario Stamping Facility. The Tool & Die Maker is responsible for ensuring tooling meets process expectations. The ideal candidate will have good manual dexterity, be detail-oriented and self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Compute dimensions and tolerances to set up machine tools

  • Position, secure, measure and work metal stock or castings to lay out for machining

  • Assemble/disassemble parts to test completed tools, dies, jigs or fixtures for proper operation

  • Directly work with suppliers to print, design, or build situations to ensure tool expectations are met

  • Analyze manufacturing repairs and adjustments to formulate solutions in standardized situations

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 years of related work experience

  • Trade certification

  • Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondence

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Ability to understand and effectively communicate oral and written instructions

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time/ lift 23 kg (50 lbs)

  • Able to work 3-shift model: Midnights, Days, Afternoons, and required OT

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of related experience working in a manufacturing environment
