SERVICE TECHNICIAN I London, ON, N0L 1E0, Canada Salary: $28.00 – $32.00 per hour , depending on experience
OUR CLIENT On behalf of our client, we are pleased to present an opportunity for a Service Technician I to join their team in London, Ontario. This role involves working with advanced fueling and energy systems, requiring hands-on expertise in both mechanical and electrical servicing.
THE ROLE The Service Technician I will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment at fueling and energy sites. The role requires a balance of technical expertise, safety awareness, and customer-facing professionalism.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Inspect, maintain, and adjust electrical equipment (wiring, panels, motors, actuators, gauges, meters, frequency drives, and controls).
- Inspect, maintain, and adjust mechanical equipment (compressors, pumps, engines, heat exchangers, piping, tubing, valves, and filters).
- Repair, replace, and adjust malfunctioning equipment to restore proper operating condition.
- Perform periodic inspections of fueling stations to ensure safe and normal operation.
- Detect and correct faulty or malfunctioning electrical and mechanical components.
- Clean and maintain fueling locations and equipment, including enclosures, canopies, and surrounding areas.
- Document all service activity, parts used, and recommendations using service software on tablets/computers.
- Install, remove, and modify fueling equipment and systems as required.
- Drive to and between service sites; occasional travel to neighboring areas may be required.
- Other duties as assigned.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- High School Diploma (preferred) or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of related mechanical or electrical experience.
- TSSA Gas Technician 2 (G2) license required.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office and service software.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret and follow technical instructions, blueprints, and repair manuals.
- Safety-conscious, reliable, and customer-focused.
