WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a Seam Sealing Associate, who would be responsible for reinforcing and sealing the integrity of technical garments such as drysuits, jackets, and pants by applying seam tape or bonding materials to all stitched seams. This role ensures that every product meets performance, durability, and waterproofing standards through precise application of heat, pressure, and adhesive techniques. By maintaining a meticulous approach to seam sealing, the Seam Taper plays a critical role in upholding the company’s reputation for quality and reliability in performance apparel.
WHAT WE OFFER

RESPONSIBILITY

Inspect sewn garments to identify seams requiring sealing according to product specifications and quality standards.

Operate seam sealing and heat bonding equipment, adjusting temperature, pressure, and airflow for different fabrics and seam tape types.

Apply seam tape, adhesive, or bonding materials (e.g., glue or Bemis) using heat or manual tools as required.

Ensure all seams are sealed uniformly, free of wrinkles, gaps, or defects, and compliant with ICP standards through swatch and full garment leak testing.

Conduct visual and manual inspections to verify seam quality and consistency.
-
Rework or repair defective seams to meet production and quality criteria.

Follow established production schedules and achieve individual and team output targets.

Maintain and clean seam sealing machines, tools, and workstation to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Adhere to safety policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality control guidelines.

Collaborate with sewing operators, inspectors, and supervisors to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

Participate in cross-training within the production floor to support operational flexibility including manual assembling, automation program machine.

Promote a team-oriented culture emphasizing quality, efficiency, and safety.

Experience of operating seam sealing or heat bonding machines preferred (training available).

Exceptional attention to detail and strong visual inspection ability.

Manual dexterity and precision handling of delicate materials.

Knowledge of fabric types, adhesives, and seam sealing techniques.

Ability to interpret and follow technical work instructions and specifications.

Strong work ethic, reliability, and team collaboration in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Ability to stand or sit for extended periods during production tasks.

Frequent use of hands and fingers for garment handling and machine operation.

Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 lbs.

Adequate visual acuity to inspect seams and detect defects.

Tolerance for moderate noise, heat, and adhesives or sealing materials (with proper protective gear provided).
