Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for aMaintenance Leadto join our team at ourMartensville, SKlocation. This position is responsible for providing leadership to the maintenance team and maintenance services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Acts as Lead Hand for the unionized maintenance team, providing day-to-day direction and on-the-job guidance in alignment with the collective agreement (CBA), while supporting coordination of work assignments.
  • Ensures all site assets, equipment, and grounds are maintained in safe, reliable, and optimal working condition.
  • Executes and supports preventative maintenance programs to maximize uptime, efficiency, and operational efficiency.
  • Troubleshoots, repairs, fabricates, and installs mechanical equipment while supporting electrical systems, boilers, steam production, and automation.
  • Works with the Plant Manager/Supervisor to prioritize maintenance activities in accordance with operational needs and CBA requirements.
  • Supports capital projects by assisting in identifying and implementing improvements that enhance performance and reduce operational risk.
  • Promotes and adheres to all health, safety, and fire prevention regulations, contributing to a strong safety culture and compliance with workplace policies.
  • Maintains maintenance documentation and reports, collaborates across trades, and participates in after-hours emergency call rotation as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-3 years’ experience as a Maintenance Mechanic and/or Millwright/Electrician in a production or equivalent journeyman certificate.
  • Previous leadership or Lead Hand experience is considered an asset.
  • Hands-on experience in industrial maintenance including boilers, steam production, and HVAC systems.
  • Proven analytical / problem solving skills.
  • Ability to read and work from blue prints.
