About the role

Overview The Stockroom Leader is responsible for managing operation of the Quaker Stockroom and is a support function to the Trenton Site’s spare parts purchasing.

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing and quoting for all maintenance stockroom requisitions
  • Working with a variety of vendors to ensure accurate procurement of parts, while considering pricing and lead-time
  • Coordinating rush parts and service to support site breakdowns. This includes working with vendors, couriers, and customs brokers to ensure the correct part is sourced and, in the timeframe required.
  • Manage stockroom staff (attendant/receiver)
  • Ensure stockroom data is consistently updated and managed through cycle-counts, Min/Max on hand updates, and clearing of obsolete items
  • Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Stockroom leader will manage Open PO and POs received to ensure accurate forecasting of spend and proper budget management
  • Managing delivery timelines by working with vendors to ensure accurate forecasts as well as ensuring parts are received in time for critical planned jobs
  • Identify obsolete items, and work with maintenance team to recommend a substitution and ensure and differences are highlighted for maintenance techs.
  • Analyze current inventory and usage to identify opportunities for productivity or savings through vendor changes, minimum order quantities, refurbishment or moving to in-house fabrication/repair.
  • Maintain RFID Portal and its connection to CMMS to ensure accurate parts usage records
  • Support and be an SME for the purchasing side of S4/HANA (SAP EAM)

Qualifications

  • Technical background, strong understanding of parts and service for CPG/Foods manufacting industry
  • Organized and analytical to ensure good documentation of parts and strategic sourcing
  • Knowledge of Avantis and/or SAP S4/HANA
  • Understanding of procurement process
  • Understand of Food Manufacturing processes and GMPs
  • Understanding of good maintenance practices in terms of planning, kitting, and breakdown support
  • Understanding of best practices for inventory management (min/max on hand, criticality, etc)
