About the role
General Labourer Reporting to the Supervisor - Production, the general labourer will be responsible for cleaning exterior surface area of large aircraft components using various chemicals and tools.
Shifts Must have flexibility to work rotating shifts to accommodate production schedule, including days, afternoons, nights and overtime as required.

Responsibilities
Must be a team player capable of working methodically to deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
Maintain a clean and organized shop and work-space.
Use cleaning solutions to clean aircraft component surfaces.
Must be able to keep your hands above your head for extended periods of time cleaning aircraft components.
Must be detail and task oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Always perform duties in a safe and effective manner and follow all MHICA and Provincial/Federal safety standards and guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned and/or required by business needs.
Must be able to maintain professionalism.
Promote and support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities in Manufacturing.
Physical Working Demands and Working Conditions Must be physically fit, energetic, agile, willing and able to:
Lift up to 50 lbs. Repeatedly
Work while standing for up to 8 hours and/or remain seated for up to 8 hours
Qualifications Skills & Qualifications
Familiar with hand and power tools such as wrenches, tape measure, hammers and drill hammers.
Ability to multi-task, manage priorities, and meet deadlines with a deep attention to detail.
Self-starter that demonstrates initiative and identifies opportunities.
Team player with excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster strong working relationships.
Basic computer knowledge.
Ability to effectively organize, plan, prioritize, document, and complete work with minimum supervision
Ability to work from written and verbal instructions.
Ability to accomplish duties required effectively and efficiently.
Keep the Manager informed of daily operations.
Ability to deal with added day to day issues and concerns.
Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.

Experience
Past experience within an aerospace or manufacturing environment, considered an asset.
Education
