Weeneebayko Area Health Authority (WAHA) is looking for experienced professionals to fill the key roles of Shipping/Receiving Clerk.

What We DoThere has never been a more exciting time to be at WAHA. We are an integrated health system providing the full continuum of care to the six communities of the western James Bay coast with over 500 employees, physicians, and partners in care. As a health authority, you will work in a unique setting where you have the opportunity to care for patients in all phases of their life journey, in all areas of their health experience. From Primary, Acute, and Mental Health, Dental, Specialty Clinics, Population Health and the WAHA Paramedic Service, the opportunities for growth are boundless. Who You Are

What You’ll Do· Review and receive goods into the MEDITECH system· Maintain records in MEDITECH system with regards to Inventory issues from stock· Ensure documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner· Understanding of Medical terms with regards to supplies· Understanding of Inventory principles and practices
What You Bring

  • Knowledge of computerized Inventory system
  • Experience in a hospital setting
  • Experience handling, receiving and issuing of supplies
  • Knowledge of medical terms
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to communicate in the local native Cree language is an asset

Salary: $28.42 - $31.02

We serve over 12,000 people through hospitals in Moose Factory, Fort Albany, and Attawapiskat, and a health centre in Moosonee. We also operate regional outpatient programs, as well as paramedicine services throughout the region, including in Kashechewan and Peawanuck. We are affiliated with Queens University.
