Position Summary
We are seeking a Paint Prepper/Helper to join our Production team. This role plays a key part in preparing HVAC units and components for painting, supporting Paint Technicians, and ensuring all finishes meet the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and eager to grow their technical skills within a supportive manufacturing environment.
Schedule

5 days, Monday - Thursday 7:00pm - 4:30am, Friday 7:00pm - 3:30am.
Key Responsibilities
-
Prepare HVAC units and parts for painting (sanding, cleaning, masking).
-
Remove dirt, grease, rust, and old paint to ensure proper surface preparation.

Mask and protect non-painted areas.
-
Assist Paint Technicians with blending and other finishing tasks.
-
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area.
-
Disassemble, clean, and reassemble sprayers and power equipment.
-
Support upkeep of paint booths, prep stations, and storage areas.

Follow all safety protocols and use required PPE (respirator, eye/skin protection).

Participate in daily team meetings and support on-time delivery schedules.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-
Previous experience in painting or prepping (sanding, masking, prepping, blending) preferred.

Ability to follow directions and work well in a team environment.
-
Forklift experience is an asset.

Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
Physical Requirements
-
Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, squat, and pull.
-
Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
-
Stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
-
Perform repetitive motions.
-
Good visual acuity for color matching.
Work Environment
-
Exposure to paint, fumes, dust, and chemicals.

Varying temperatures (heat/cold).
-
Intermittent noise levels.
