You will
-
Manage the process over the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with ASPE, IFRS and US GAAP including financial analysis thereof, taking a role in both the preparation and review of such statements
-
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting packages for standalone entities and consolidated groups.

Lead in the preparation of accounting analysis over complex transactions including ensuring the transactions are accurately reflected within the general ledger
-
Lead initiatives to standardize, document and implement accounting policies including application of new accounting pronouncements
-
Providing leadership over external audits
-
Develop and implement financial reporting strategies to modernize reporting and improve processes
-
Lead initiatives to strengthen internal controls over financial reporting, especially as it relates to financial statement preparation and technical accounting analysis
-
Act as a point of contact for financial reporting queries from internal and external partners.

Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
You have
-
Experience working within financial and/or technical reporting for a large, complex organization
-
Experience preparing consolidated, multi-currency financial statements and technical accounting analysis
-
A CPA designation
-
Strong understanding of ASPE and IFRS, experience with REALpac (an asset)
-
Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with Yardi
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Great people skills, able to relate well to others and state your case
-
Real Estate industry experience (an asset)

Salary range: $110,000 - $130,000
