We are hiring multiple Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanics to join the team at our Calgary General Line facility.

Schedule: 7x7 continuous shift (Wednesday to Tuesday)

Job Description:

  • Trouble shooting equipment and perform equipment repairs and completing overhauls on Caterpillar equipment
  • Interface with customers, products and sales support
  • Working with the Supervisor on various tasks
  • Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements
  • Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
  • Various related duties as required

Qualifications

  • Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certification (4th years may be considered)
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Heavy Duty Technician
  • Dedication to safety
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Understanding of the Caterpillar product line will be considered an asset
  • Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be considered an asset
  • Transmission or Hydraulic testing would be considered an asset
  • Experience with Lawson, SIS (Service Information System) and warranty systems considered assets

Note:

  • Shift work may be required
  • Any future shift changes will be made in accordance with the collective agreement
  • A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
