Join Fleetway’s Training team and help shape the future of performance at sea. We’re seeking an Instructional Designer to support the development of modern training and crew solutions for maritime and naval projects, including the River Class Destroyer program for the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN).
As part of our team, you’ll contribute to the integration of combat and platform systems, ensuring sailors are equipped with efficient, accessible, and results-driven learning experiences. Conduct analysis, design, and development of:
- Training Needs Analysis (TNA)
- Training Media Analysis (TMA)
- Job-Based Training Packages
- Instructional Material Design Guides

Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure training solutions align with operational requirements.

Apply instructional design principles to create engaging and effective learning materials.

Support the implementation of training technologies that deliver measurable performance outcomes.
Education
Post-secondary degree in Education, Adult Learning, Distance Learning, or eLearning.
Experience & Requirements
-
2–5 years of experience in instructional design, training analysis, and technical documentation.

Familiarity with CFITES (Canadian Forces Individual Training and Education System).
-
Proficiency in computer-based techniques for analysis, simulation, and documentation.
-
CTDP (Certified Training and Development Professional) accreditation is considered an asset.
-
Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain required security clearances.
