Our Ideal Candidate
As a Geomatics Technician, you will support survey and engineering projects by processing data, performing calculations, and assisting with deliverables. You are detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working both independently and with a team.
A Day in the Life
- Draft survey plans and perform calculations using Civil 3D
- Perform survey calculations for foundations, roadworks, and grading projects, including alignment, profile, and corridor analysis to support construction layout and execution
- Generate surfaces and volume calculations
- Process and interpret different type of survey data using Trimble Business Center
- Perform quality control checks on field returns
- Assist field crews and prepare reports (stakeout, as-builts)
- Support UAV / LiDAR data processing as needed
- Support engineering layout and construction surveys
What You’ll Bring to the Team
- Diploma or degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Civil, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant survey/geomatics experience
- Experience with Trimble Business Centre (TBC)
- Proficiency in Civil 3D
- Strong understanding of construction survey practices
- Good communication and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
