About the role

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Red Seal Certified Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician / Mechanic to join our client's professional service team. This role requires you to have a solid background in automotive repair, a commitment to safety and quality, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

  • Pay Rate: From $35/hour (based on experience)
  • Location: Edmonton, AB
  • Shift: 40hours/week

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair automotive systems, including electrical, steering, suspension, braking, and air conditioning.
  • Use computerized diagnostic tools, technical manuals, and charts to identify and resolve issues.
  • Perform preventive maintenance such as tune-ups, tire replacements, and wheel alignments.
  • Conduct full conventional vehicle frame replacements and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations.
  • Reassemble, adjust, and test repaired components and systems to ensure proper function.
  • Install and repair accessories such as radios, mirrors, heaters, and windshield wipers.
  • Perform vehicle road tests before and after repairs to verify performance and safety.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while adhering to all OH&S and environmental standards.

Qualifications:

  • Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician / Mechanic designation (Red Seal certified required).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive service or repair.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues.
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
  • Proficient in automotive repair, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance.
  • Excellent time management, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with OH&S and environmental regulations.
  • High attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
