Position Summary An Associate Judge of the Court of King’s Bench is also a Registrar in Bankruptcy. As an Associate Judge, the successful candidate will carry a substantial caseload in the areas of civil, family, child protection, estate and bankruptcy litigation. Judicial duties include presiding over dockets relating to the enforcement of family maintenance orders, child protection cases and bankrupt discharge applications; the determination of both contested and uncontested civil, family, and bankruptcy motions; conducting court references, including accountings under the The Family Property Act; presiding over the passing of committee and estate accounts as well as solicitor client fee assessments. The position of an Associate Judge also includes a significant amount of written work in the form of reasons for decision and reference reports.
