Our Red Chris Mine, located in the heart of Northern British Columbia on the traditional territory of the Tahltan Nation. A short distance from Iskut and Dease Lake, Our fly-in, fly-out site offers access from various points across British Columbia and Alberta. Your Impact

You will lead the development of a highly skilled and competent mill workforce by driving training excellence, strengthening operational capability, and ensuring employees and contractors can perform their work safely, efficiently, and in alignment with site standards.

As Part of Our Team You Will

Lead and support Mill Training Advisors, Area Trainers, and contractor trainers. Develop, implement, and continuously improve mill training and competency programs. Partner with operational leaders to identify capability gaps and workforce development opportunities. Oversee onboarding, competency assessments, and verification of competency programs. Ensure training compliance with site requirements, regulatory obligations, and operational standards. Drive succession planning and workforce capability initiatives across Crushing, Grinding, Flotation, Dewatering, and Control Room Operations. Monitor training performance, compliance reporting, and learning management systems.

Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role

Post-secondary education in mining, mineral processing, engineering, adult education, trades, or a related field. 7+ years of mining, processing, technical training, or operational leadership experience. Experience leading training programs, teams, or workforce development initiatives. Strong understanding of mill operations and processing plant systems. Knowledge of competency-based training, adult learning principles, and verification of competency processes. Experience with learning management systems and training compliance reporting. Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Your Work Environment

You will work closely with operational leaders, frontline employees, contractors, and training professionals in a dynamic processing plant environment. This role combines field engagement with strategic planning and requires a visible presence in the operation to support safe, effective, and sustainable workforce development.

The expected salary range for this role is CA$105,800 - 141,100 . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
