Accounts Receivable Administrator
About the role
Job Description Position Summary The AR Administrator is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations. The AR Administrator must comply with established policies and procedures. This includes processing and applying payments correctly to customer and bank accounts in an effective and efficient manner will ensure that ECCO’s accounts are accurate and up to date.
Key Responsibilities
- Print and sort email remittance by location and account number
- Print and sort EFT payments from bank statements
- Prepare bank, credit card and EFT deposits daily
- Prepare bank deposits for bank (cheques)
- Enter the information deposit into the Excel spreadsheet
- Enter and post payments ensure cash receipts balance
- Scanning and filing deposit batches electronically
- Reconcile customer and cash accounts
- Posting any adjustments to accounts
- Work with the accounting department to resolve GL posting and bank discrepancies
- Other duties as deemed necessary by management
Due to the dynamic nature of this Company, the duties and responsibilities may reasonably change from time to time.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- 1 – 2 years’ experience in an accounting environment preferred
- Minimum 1 – 2 years’ experience in an administrative role
- Post-secondary education and related experience an asset
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- The ability to prioritize and multitask
