As a Planner/Buyer Sr, you will plan material requirements and execute purchase orders for complex assemblies, balancing inventory levels with customer delivery commitments.
What You’ll Do
- Plans, purchases, and maintains inventory based on customer requirements and company objectives
- Actively uses company planning tools and forecast requirements to meet production demands
- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
- Participates in bids and estimates by being prepared to discuss material requirements and parts availability as well as possible subcontract lead times and pricing
- Review inventory discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions with the stockroom
- Monitor supplier on time delivery and expedite or reschedule as needed to meet production changes
- Provide data and recommendations to management on supply risks and mitigation plans
Required Qualifications
- Degree or partially completed degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- Proficient in Oracle, Excel and/or Company operating systems
- Demonstrated experience in planning and procurement
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
- 4+ years in planning and purchasing.
- Supply chain experience in the aerospace industry is preferred.
