Senior Business Analyst - Oracle EBS Financials

Job summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst - Oracle EBS Financials to support and enhance a global finance technology landscape in a complex retail environment. This role partners closely with Finance, Accounting, and Technology teams to improve processes, deliver system enhancements, and maintain the stability, accuracy, and integrity of enterprise financial platforms. The successful candidate will bring deep Oracle E-Business Suite Financials expertise, strong finance process knowledge, and a proven ability to deliver scalable solutions that improve operational efficiency, compliance, controls, and global standardization across multiple regions.

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary functional SME for Oracle EBS Financials, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), Fixed Assets (FA), Projects, AGIS, and Cash Management. Support and enhance integration between Oracle EBS and enterprise applications such as Coupa, GTNexus, Accruent (Lucernex), banking platforms, tax engines, and other upstream/downstream systems. Lead business discovery sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews to gather requirements and document As-Is and To-Be processes. Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and solution designs. Configure, maintain, and optimize Oracle EBS Financials modules to meet evolving business, operational, and compliance requirements. Partner with Finance and Accounting teams to identify opportunities for process automation, simplification, and global standardization. Perform detailed functional and systems analysis to support enhancements, integrations, reporting solutions, and customizations. Lead end-to-end testing activities, including test strategy, planning, test script development, execution, UAT coordination, defect triage, and regression testing. Conduct root-cause analysis for production issues and drive sustainable corrective actions to reduce recurring support incidents. Collaborate with developers, solution architects, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality, reliable system delivery. Support delivery using Agile methodologies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, story development, release coordination, and stakeholder demos. Provide production support and functional guidance to business users, ensuring system stability, data accuracy, and adherence to internal controls.
Preferred Qualifications
CPA, CMA, CGA, CA, or other recognized accounting designations. Oracle EBS Financials certifications or equivalent implementation/support experience. Experience in a global retail organization with multi-country operations. Experience supporting financial compliance requirements, internal/external audits, and SOX controls. Experience with cloud-based finance applications such as Coupa, Workday, or Oracle Cloud ERP. Working knowledge of SQL or data analysis techniques for troubleshooting and validation.
