Position Summary:
Provide strategic guidance and decision support to internal stakeholders in the development of data strategies and effective data models. Collaborate with Supervisor and business stakeholders to prioritize demand for the team. Manage the team including planning, scheduling, and overseeing work. Participate in project management and governance activities to provide updates.
Specific Accountabilities:

Provide strategic direction, guidance, and/or decision support to relevant internal stakeholders including other ISD teams, project teams, LoBs, and contractors in the development of data strategies, effective data models and resolution of problems within areas of expertise.

Collaborate with Supervisor and business stakeholders to prioritize LoB demands for data and analytics services; actively prioritize work for/with the team; may provide subject matter expertise in complex business engagements.

Drive the identification, budgeting, and implementation of new data use cases across the business. Support LoBs in monetizing business data where possible.

Ongoing team management including planning, scheduling, assigning, and overseeing staff work; and providing the appropriate direction and guidance to ensure they can carry out their work effectively to maintain the expected quality and accuracy. Provide meaningful and timely feedback to staff.

Participate in project management and governance activities to provide updates on work status, risks/issues, and mitigation/resolution plans regarding scope, budget, time, and resource availability.

Perform other duties as required.
Managerial Accountabilities:
- Manage and motivate direct reports to deliver high-quality data services to fulfill data use cases and stay on schedule.
- Establish performance measures for staff; making effective recommendations on human resource issues; and creating and maintaining a safe, harassment-free workplace.
- Be accountable for the output of direct reports (e.g., set expectations, priorities, and context; ensure compliance with required legal and regulatory requirements and Hydro One and business unit policies and procedures; conduct succession planning, performance reviews and provide direction on problem areas; support career development; provide effective recommendations concerning promotions, transfers, pay, disciplinary action of staff within the department per collective agreements, etc.).
- Resolve technical, business and personnel issues; and escalate unresolved issues in a timely manner to Supervisor for advice, instruction, or direction.
- Perform other managerial duties as required.
