How You Will Contribute As DevOps and Tools Software Engineer – Routing IP, you will be part of a team responsible for SAOS 10.x product build and release, and development tools support. You will acquire and deepen expertise in building, configuring and releasing embedded software, embedded/secure software development tools.
- You will work on multiple releases, service merge and pull requests, and create pipelines to support new releases.
- You will steadily acquire expertise in various embedded software development and security tools.
- You will contribute to DevOps performance, security and reliability, reduction of overall product footprint and saving of infrastructure cost.

The Must Haves
- Candidate for a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of shell scripting and programming languages such as C, Python. Experience with git. Hands on experience with Linux development environment.
- Experience with Jenkins, Yocto recipes, embedded software development is a definite asset.
- Experience with security tools and concepts such as Coverity, Black Duck, safe C, secure boot, etc. is an asset.
- Experience with development tools such as opengrok, LTTng, ValGrind, ASAN, gcov and is an asset.
- Project experience in computer software or computer networking,
Pay Range: The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00
Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business.
