The Company

Mainstreet Equity Corporation is a distinguished real estate company that is publicly traded on Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX). Its business focus is on acquisition & upgrading of residential properties and managing its own portfolio of almost 19,000 residential apartments in five major cities across Canada.

A description of the duties required but not limited to, is as follows

  • Assisting in maintaining customers' ledger by accurately posting account transactions, deposits and preparing statements and refunds;
  • Review lease documents with information in operating system to ensure accuracy, support monthly renewal processing, prepare adjustment as needed;
  • Preparing and reviewing monthly EFT transfer files to the bank and maintaining tenant's account information;
  • Proactively identify and resolve ledger discrepancies;
  • Ensure all confidential data and information are securely maintained;
  • Ability to set priorities, multi-task, follow-up, and work with team in a fast-paced environment;
  • Performing other related administrative and accounting tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

 

Job Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience as an Administrative Account Assistant or in a similar administrative role preferred.

  • An accounting diploma is an asset but not required.

  • Previous experience in accounting or administrative support is an asset

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with accounting or property management software preferred

  • Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry and reconciliation skills

  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

  • Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
