Responsibilities The Process Safety Senior Engineer (E&A), reporting to the Maintenance Manager, will be accountable to support the site process safety program especially as it relates to engineering and controls. The core job function will be to drive the site Management of Change (MoC) process and to ensure proper standards are adhered to in both controls programming and cyber security of the site process control network.
- Facilitate risk assessments for engineering work covering all disciplines.
- Overall accountability for the site MoC process.
- Support HAZOP activities as required.
- Perform LOPA calculations as required.
- Support development of site Process Safety programs and processes.
- Act as a peer reviewer on control system programming changes.
- Support cyber security improvement efforts throughout the site.
- Provide mentorship for less experienced engineers.
- Provide technical oversight on process control related projects.
- Assist with various controls related tasks including field troubleshooting and repairs.
- Review of scopes of work and drawings developed by other team members.
Education & Experience
- Experience with Honeywell Experion
- Experience with HAZOP and other risk assessment tools
- Ability to work as a member of a team within the maintenance department
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills and aptitude
- Diligent and disciplined at following access control procedures for the control systems
- Capable of interpreting engineering drawings, and scopes of work
- Strong communication skills are required
