Job Description Amrep Mfg Co LLC is seeking a Planner who is responsible creating, analyzing consolidating data. This may include work orders, product specifications, engineering drawings, parts and materials inventory lists, and machine and worker production rates/capacities to establish efficient allocation and scheduling of parts, materials, labor, machines, and sequences of operations workflow. A key deliverable will be to achieve maximum run time, efficiencies and inventory accuracy.
Salary Range: $68,640 - $72,000: Based on experience. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Establish production schedules to meet customer expectations while maintaining a consistent production environment
- Prepare and consolidate job documentation and instructions for shop floor activities.
- Analyze, plan, and manage production schedules based on capacities of equipment, material, machine and labor.
- Analyze current, backlog job orders, and accordingly develop/adjust production plan and schedules.
- Develop and negotiate lead times with commercial and operation teams based on customer requirement and material, labor and machine capacities. Elevate any issues to master planning for regional resolution.
- Monitor the execution of work orders, engineering drawings, and material flow to meet establish production schedules
- Review production plan, and inventory levels to identify risks and communicate required long-range capacity changes required to the Plant Manager and Master Planner.
- Plan inventory management to avoid any shortages and excesses.
- Review, change, and communicate required schedule changes to purchasing, operations, and commercial teams
- Develop and document process improvements for inventory, manufacturing and production control systems to meet business objectives.
- Investigate production control problems, analyze root causes, and derive solutions.
- Develop positive relationship with operation and commercial staffing to meet customer demand and productivity goals.
- Work with materials, manufacturing and purchasing departments in identifying and resolving production planning problems.
Requirements
- Production Planning & Scheduling in D365 – Experience utilizing Dynamics 365 Master Planning (MRP) to manage production schedules, capacity planning, and material requirements while ensuring alignment with operational goals.
- Production Order & Inventory Management – Proficiency in creating and managing production orders, tracking material availability, and maintaining accurate inventory levels within D365, including BOM management and lot/serial tracking.
- Data-Driven Decision Making & Automation – Ability to extract and analyze real-time production data using D365 reporting tools and Power BI integrations, along with experience leveraging workflow automation (e.g., Power Automate) to streamline scheduling processes.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to interact with all levels within the organizations, both internal and external.
- Ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to maintain excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in manufacturing shop floor environment
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in business or comparable work experience
- 2 years of previous work experience in this field
