Our client is seeking an experienced Enterprise Applications Lead to oversee the design, development, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise applications and digital business solutions.
This role combines technical leadership, people management, solution delivery, and strategic planning. The successful candidate will drive application modernization initiatives, champion automation and innovation, and ensure the delivery of scalable, secure, and user-centric technology solutions that support a complex enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of application developers and technical specialists, fostering a collaborative, agile, and customer-focused culture centered on innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the design, development, implementation, support, and enhancement of enterprise applications, collaboration platforms, and digital solutions that align with business objectives and deliver exceptional user experiences.
- Partner with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors to gather requirements, define solutions, and successfully deliver strategic technology initiatives.
- Drive application modernization, automation, and process improvement efforts, identifying opportunities to increase operational efficiency, scalability, and business value.
- Collaborate with architects, infrastructure teams, and business leaders to develop technology roadmaps, application strategies, and enterprise solution designs.
- Establish and promote development standards, governance frameworks, and DevOps best practices to ensure secure, maintainable, and high-quality solutions.
- Champion best practices related to application security, performance optimization, accessibility, usability, and user experience across all digital solutions.
- Lead solution reviews, workshops, and planning sessions, effectively communicating technical concepts and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Monitor application performance, reliability, and support processes, ensuring service excellence and continuous improvement of enterprise platforms.
- Support the development and enforcement of IT policies, standards, and operational procedures while ensuring compliance with organizational requirements.
- Recruit, onboard, coach, and retain top technology talent, conducting performance reviews, career development discussions, and succession planning activities.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions that improve business outcomes and support long-term technology strategy.
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of enterprise applications by driving initiatives that enhance stability, scalability, supportability, and overall operational effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business, or a related field; relevant certifications are an asset.
- 5+ years of experience leading application development, enterprise systems, or digital solutions teams within a complex business environment.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise applications and managing cross-functional technology initiatives using Agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to balance hands-on technical leadership and people management responsibilities.
- Experience working within Microsoft-centric environments, including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Azure, Teams, and the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
- Solid understanding of enterprise application architecture, integrations, software development best practices, cloud technologies, and modern SDLC/CI-CD processes.
- Knowledge of web technologies, application security, accessibility standards, responsive design, and performance optimization.
