LOGISTICS AND PLANNING COORDINATOR

As a Logistics and Planning Coordinator, you will be responsible for transportation planning, equipment monitoring and planning.

This is a full-time position that reports to the Logistics and Shipping Manager. You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team that values your input and expertise. What you will do: Transportation planning for customers and internal shipments. Planning and Monitoring Equipment. Shunt planning and yard management. Monitoring schedules and vacation. Communicating trailer numbers to carriers. Communicating with shipping on loading order importance. Monitoring shipment exceptions, delivery issues, and customer expectations, collaborating with customers, carriers, traffic, and warehouse personnel to resolve problems, coordinate alternative delivery arrangements, and ensure customer satisfaction. Working closely with the Shipping, Warehouse, and Receiving departments. Working closely with the customers. (i.e. Heinz, Pepsi, Ocean Spray) Preparing summaries and reports as required. Communicating shipping resolutions and any issues to management. Overseeing traffic related duties. Ensuring all customer orders are scheduled for on-time delivery and trucks are utilized at the maximum weights. Acting as a liaison with carriers ensuring adherence to customer policies and procedures. Participating in daily operations meeting with supervisors. Maintaining established departmental policies and procedures, objectives and quality standards. Participating and attending meetings as assigned. Coordinating daily operations and providing guidance and direction to team leads to ensure efficient workflow and goal achievement. Maintaining a positive attitude. Performing miscellaneous duties as required.

Requirements: Experience and knowledge of advanced ERP systems (SAP) & online portals. Excellent computer skills; proficient in Excel Excellent communication, time management, analytical and organizational skills. 3-5 years related planning experience. Experience in the transportation industry
