Position Summary
We're looking for a skilled Theatre Technician proficient in lighting (design and operation), carpentry, sound, and rigging. You'll assist staff and students, providing technical support for various arts and sports events across multiple venues.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
-
providing general technical assistance to technical theatre students, crew and department
-
assisting the lead teacher with sound reinforcement and design, lighting setup and operation, rigging systems, stage carpentry and set building
-
providing assistance with the Technical Theatre program of studies under the direction of the lead teacher
-
supporting various arts and sports events in a variety of locations, including theatre, cafe stage, gym and outdoor stage
Education/Qualifications

diploma in Theatre Production
-
a minimum of one year related experience in all aspects of theatre production including sound, lighting, set design, rigging systems, stage carpentry, set building, and stage and production management

excellent communication and organizational skills
Rate of Pay
$27.30 - $31.79 per hour
