About the role

Our FYidoctors South Surrey – Sunnyside clinic is looking for someone like you to bring your exceptional skills and experience and join us as an Advanced Vision Care Technician - Dry Eye Care Patient Services to fill an existing vacancy! In this role, you’ll work closely with the clinic’s team of Optometrists and perform specialized treatments/exams related to the diagnostic and/or treatments of Dry Eyes, Macular Care and Nutrition and Low Vision protocol. You’ll deliver exceptional service and support, enhancing the lives of our patients in a dynamic, and rewarding environment that values teamwork and collaboration. This position is a fixed-term role until September 2027, working 30-40 hours per week. Our clinic is open Tuesday to Saturday. We welcome applications from optometry professionals with diverse educational and professional backgrounds. What You’ll Do Perform diagnostic tests to assess ocular surface salt levels and detect signs of inflammation Gather comprehensive patient histories and information related to dry eye symptoms and contributing factors Educate patients on personalized at-home treatment plans and provide clear instructions for effective management of dry eye conditions Administer Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy using advanced Eye Light technology to treat dry eye symptoms Support the Optometrist with various treatments and or diagnostics related to complex ocular conditions Coach and support other team members on the protocols related to dry eye treatment, macular care and specific low vision treatments Supports Low Vision treatment plans by executing exercises, diagnostics and treatment plans with the patient under the optometrist’s supervision Deliver exceptional customer service ensuring a positive patient experience Support clinic operations by performing additional duties as required On-site training will be provided What You Bring Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with technology and computers, including MS Office Suite Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for connecting with patients and delivering exceptional patient experiences A collaborative, adaptable, and proactive team player with a growth mindset, able to manage changing priorities effectively How You'll Benefit Competitive wages with the opportunity to earn quarterly bonuses (available at qualifying clinics) Comprehensive benefits package featuring exceptional optical coverage (remove this bullet for casual roles) Rapid and ongoing growth, providing a consistently challenging and rewarding environment A workplace culture that fosters collaboration and teamwork Continuous training and development opportunities to support your career growth Why You Should Join Us FYidoctors, a division of FYihealth group, is Canada’s largest and most technologically advanced eyecare provider.
