Position Summary The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for achieving sales targets through effective territory management and customer visits. This role involves developing profitable customer relationships and maintaining a professional company image. Integrity, passion, and strong presentation skills are essential.
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU? Key Responsibilities
- Develop and cultivate solid partnership relations with customers in the territory while seeking new business opportunities in the market.
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
- Highlight product features and benefits, quote prices, and prepare sales orders.
- Carry out sales and marketing programs to customer base and stay aware of new products and competitor activities
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in sales management software and assist in creating RFP responses
- Participate in the company’s quarterly inventory count and assess market conditions and report findings.
- Maintain a territory expense and sales budgets
- Perform presentations and demonstrations at customer sites and trade shows.
Requirements Here is what’s important to have to apply
- Post-secondary education in business studies preferred or equivalent skills and /or work experience
- +3 years’ experience in a manufacturing, retail, or distribution environment
- Proven sales experience within the building materials, hard goods, and construction industries
- Strong Initiative and superior multi-tasking ability
- Own a valid driver’s license and have the ability to travel extensively within the territory
