Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the Service Supervisor, the position of Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician is responsible for a variety of Caterpillar equipment repair functions within a service-oriented environment.
Job Description:
Major Job Functions:
- Assist Heavy Equipment Technicians with troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining all heavy duty equipment and/or related equipment in a timely fashion.
- Other related duties as required.

- Computer literacy is required with an understanding of Finning systems and software programs considered assets.
- Mechanical aptitude with a basic understanding of heavy equipment parts and repairs.
Accountability:
- Work as part of a team to meet Finning customer service commitments.
- Maintain positive relationships with customers and co-workers.
- Understand and adhere to all Finning policies, including Code of Conduct and Safety.
- Ensure all service documentation and billing is accurate and properly recorded.
