##Key responsibilities:
- Preparing instructional and testing materials relevant to the course being taught.
- Instructing/teaching/testing.
- Marking/grading of exams and assignments etc.
- Providing constructive feedback to students.
- Maintaining regular office hours.

If more than one section is advertised for this course different applicants may be considered for each section, and applicants are required to indicate their preferred section.
Where a University of Manitoba student is the successful candidate, the terms and conditions of employment, including remuneration, will be governed by the UM/CUPE 3909 (Student) Collective Agreement.
##Qualifications:
- Master's degree, Ph.D. or Ph.D. candidate preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in the English language is required.
- Background/specialization in subject area required.
- Demonstrated competence in post-secondary teaching required.
- Empathetic approach to the instructional needs and concerns of students is required.
- Previous teaching in the subject area or related area would be an asset.

We seek a practicing artist with a commitment to professional practice and an inspiring teaching style. MFA or equivalent degree required. Must have an ability to work collegially within a complex institutional setting, manage deadlines, and operate within the respectful workplace guidelines of the University of Manitoba. Must be able to supervise a diverse teaching environment and coordinate resources to deliver an above average student experience. Should have experience using digital technology in the classroom. Candidate should possess a skill set that includes familiarity with interdisciplinary artistic practice, the theory and practice of worldbuilding ; the ability to supervise student assignments/project and development culminating in a presentation portfolio for evaluation; the ability to provide ongoing mechanical/conceptual assistance with assignments and projects employing an inspiring teaching style and respect for diverse learning skills. Applicants must submit: A cover letter of application including a statement connecting your professional practice with your teaching. A curriculum vitae that demonstrates current professional activities (exhibitions, publications, presentations, grants), including contact information for 3 references. A maximum of 20 images of your work completed within 3 years, and/or time-based media, maximum 10 minutes running length, including titles and credits, with accompanying image reference list. Copies of student-based teaching evaluations for courses taught within 3 years. Course outlines for courses taught within 3 years.
