We are seeking candidates with 3+ years of consulting experience, strong building design expertise, and the confidence to contribute to our growing electrical team.

About the Role

Design Works Engineering is seeking an Electrical Designer to play a key role in the continued growth of our Toronto office.

What You’ll Do

• Collect client and project information and prepare electrical designs in accordance with best practice design and relevant codes and

• Use AutoCAD to prepare 2D drawing

• Use Revit to prepare 3D Building Information (BIM) models and export to 2D drawing

• Coordinate electrical design with Architecture, Structural, Mechanical, Civil and other project consultants under the direction of the project

• Visit project site to collect required

• Visit Construction site to complete construction

• Performs other duties as assigned by project

What You Bring

• A diploma in electrical design with a minimum of 3 years' experience.

• Registration as an Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).

• Experience designing multi-family residential buildings

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Revit

• Fluent in English

• Comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks without guidance

• Being a natural self starter with the ability to prioritize, self-schedule, meet tight deadlines, and work with colleagues from various departments, market sectors, and locations
