Join ENMAX as a Workday Adaptive Planning Developer with a strong foundation in finance and technical development. In this role, you will enhance our enterprise planning, forecasting, and reporting capabilities by designing and optimizing Adaptive Planning models, data integrations, and analytics solutions that support strategic decision-making. You’ll work closely with Finance and Business Units to translate requirements into scalable solutions, acting as a subject matter expert for finance and planning data. The ideal candidate brings a blend of analytical and technical expertise, strong business acumen, and a collaborative mindset. Major Responsibilities:
Adaptive Planning & Financial Systems Development
- Design, develop, and maintain Adaptive Planning models, including assumptions, sheets, dashboards, and reports to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
- Collaborate with ENMAX Business Units to translate business requirements into scalable, sustainable system solutions.
- Build and maintain data integration between Adaptive Planning, Workday Financials/HCM, and other enterprise systems.
- Combine and reconcile data from Adaptive Planning, Workday, Maximo, Powerplan, and other financial systems to support consolidated reporting and enterprise analytics.
Data Architecture & Analytics Enablement
- Architect and deliver analytical solutions to process complex information from System One data sources (Maximo, Workday, Powerplan, Adaptive Insights) into efficient and robust data models for developing engaging and effective dashboards.
- Facilitate stakeholder consultations and gather requirements from ENMAX business units to identify and optimize processes using Power BI, Power Apps, Denodo, Azure Synapse pipelines, and other analytical tools.
- Partner with Finance and Technology teams to automate and optimize planning and reporting processes, improving accuracy, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Governance, Support, and Change Management
- Participate in change management activities related to product and system upgrades, minimizing the impact on business users through proactive communication, training, and testing.
- Serve as the technical subject matter expert (SME) for Adaptive Planning and analytical data flows within the System One ecosystem.
- Generate and maintain up-to-date documentation outlining internal work processes and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Education Required:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience with Workday Adaptive Planning or similar planning tools (AnaPlan, IBM TM1).
- 2+ years in a financial planning, analysis, or accounting role with exposure to enterprise data systems.
- Proven ability to develop and manage financial models, data structures, and reporting frameworks across multiple systems.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, CapEx, P&L, and balance sheet reporting.
- Proficiency with Power BI, Denodo, Azure Synapse; familiarity with SQL, APIs, or ETL tools is an asset.
- Advanced Excel skills.

Salary: Programmer Level C (Current CUPE 2025 rates)
$103,038.57 - $109,485.92 - $115,933.27 - $122,360.78 - $128,808.13
Location: 141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB
Location: This role will be part of our hybrid work model that includes Core Days in office (Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursdays), and more time to focus on Mondays and Fridays, either in the office or at home. The office workspace is located at ENMAX Place (141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB).
