Job Description & Summary At PwC, our Operations & Procurement consulting practice partners with clients across industries to transform core operations, supply chain, and procurement functions—driving cost efficiencies, service improvements, and risk mitigation. We deliver end-to-end advisory services spanning procurement strategy and category management, strategic sourcing, supplier relationship and performance management, inventory and network optimization, demand & supply planning (S&OP), process and operating model redesign, and digital/analytics enablement, including automation, BI, and procurement platform integration.
As a Senior Manager, you will combine strategic insight, deep industry expertise, and strong leadership to design innovative solutions, lead large-scale transformations, and ensure successful execution of complex client engagements. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior client executives, driving business impact while cultivating high-performing teams.

a Senior Manager, Operations & Procurement, Consulting ,
you’ll
work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Lead end-to-end engagement delivery for complex, multi-disciplinary transformation projects—such as digital procurement and supply chain initiatives—across Canada, ensuring quality, timeliness, and commercial outcomes.

Demonstrate agility and resilience in managing dynamic projects by adapting swiftly to changing client needs, shifting priorities, and
emerging
challenges, guaranteeing successful delivery.

Act as a strategic partner to executive client stakeholders, guiding procurement and operations transformations that drive measurable cost savings, service improvements, and risk mitigation.

Direct large-scale diagnostics, root-cause analyses, and opportunity assessments; develop financial and operational models to support decision-making and initiative prioritization.
-
Oversee design and implementation of procurement strategies, including sourcing and category management frameworks, supplier segmentation, governance models, and onboarding processes.
-
Champion network design, inventory optimization,
logistics
improvement initiatives, and enhancements to demand and supply planning (S&OP) practices for operational excellence.

Drive procurement/ERP platform enablement and digital transformation efforts, integrating process redesign, piloting, testing, and
change
management to embed new operating models.

Lead, mentor, and inspire multi-disciplinary teams (both PwC and client), ensuring high-quality,
timely
deliverables, continuous improvement, and effective collaboration within a complex, matrixed organization across industries and geographies.

Manage engagement financials, risk, and resource allocation to deliver projects on time and within budget while meeting and exceeding client expectations; build and sustain trusted advisor relationships with senior leaders,
identifying
growth and expansion opportunities for PwC.

Contribute thought leadership, lead sales and business development—including identifying and pursuing new client opportunities, developing proposals, and expanding PwC’s footprint—and foster a culture of learning, inclusion, and professional growth through coaching, recruitment, and active participation in firm initiatives, with flexibility to travel up to 70% to meet client needs.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field; advanced degrees such as an MBA are a strong asset.

7-10+ years of progressive experience in management consulting or leadership roles within operations, supply chain, or procurement, overseeing large-scale transformations in core operations, supply chain strategy, and procurement.
-
Expertise
in asset-intensive industry operations, including asset lifecycle management, capital planning, maintenance strategies (preventive, predictive, reliability-centered), and spare parts optimization, as well as improving asset availability through condition monitoring, IoT, digital twins, and predictive analytics.
-
Proven ability to lead end-to-end supply chain strategy and network design, including demand forecasting, S&OP integration, inventory management and optimization, distribution and
logistics
planning, and operations strategy for efficient distribution center performance.

Experience in digital enablement and analytics for operations and supply chain,
leveraging
ERP, TMS, WMS, APS platforms, dashboards, and predictive analytics to drive visibility, automation, and data-driven decisions; familiarity with major warehouse management and ERP systems, and experience with system integrations and go-live transitions.

Comprehensive procurement capabilities spanning strategy development, category management, strategic sourcing, RFx processes, supplier segmentation, supplier performance and contract management,
risk
and compliance, sustainable/ESG practices;
proficiency
with leading procurement and ERP platforms and all stages of integration and cutover activities.

Proven ability to
operate
as a trusted advisor to executives, shaping business strategy, securing buy-in for complex changes, and
demonstrating
agility and resilience to manage dynamic projects and shifting priorities.

Expert application of agile methodologies and process optimization techniques, including leading value-stream mapping, process redesign workshops, and implementing operating models, governance frameworks, and risk mitigation strategies across procurement and supply chain functions.

Exceptional client engagement and stakeholder management skills; capable of leading multifaceted workstreams and multi-disciplinary teams, with advanced analytical, modeling, and data-driven decision-making abilities;
proficiency
with Excel, Power BI/Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, and Python.

Proven sales and business development
expertise
