Position title: TEAM LEADER – Workplace Interior Design
M Moser Associates is seeking a Team Leader to join our growing Toronto studio. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced design or project delivery professional who is ready to take ownership of a team, develop people, and influence the direction of complex corporate workplace projects.
In this role, you will lead a team of up to 15 professionals while remaining actively involved in the design and delivery of high-profile workplace projects. You’ll balance business accountability with mentorship, client leadership, and strategic thinking—playing a key role in shaping both project outcomes and studio culture.

THE ROLE
As a Team Leader, you will: Lead, coach, and develop team members, identity needs within the team, actively participate in the talent acquisition process of new team members, and responsible for current team development Participate in professional development of team members, understanding where the team may be facing challenges and provide focused mentorship. Work closely with our leadership team to ensure financial health of projects is maintained and team annual financial targets are met. Provide overall project leadership by building strong, transparent client relationships, innovatively guiding project strategy while providing team alignment, and quality oversight to ensure successful project delivery. Mentor and develop project leaders by sharing knowledge on building client trust, project impact, fee structures, and scheduling strategies to drive stronger project outcomes. Attend industry events regularly (ie 1-2 a month) and business development meetings to build new client relationships Working with Client Services colleagues to establish pipeline and leads Actively participate in RFQ’s/RFP responses - working closely with leadership team to ensure the quality and process are adhered to.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS
15+ years of experience in interior design, architecture, or project delivery Proven experience leading teams of at least 4-5 members Proven experience leading complex corporate workplace projects, ideally at least 5 years in this sector, and with project scales above 50,000sf Strong business and operational understanding (fees, schedules, resourcing, financial health) A collaborative, people-first leadership style with a passion for mentorship Confidence working with clients, senior stakeholders, and leadership teams A positive, open mindset and interest in shaping studio culture
