We are looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Utopia, ON. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment, machinery, and vehicles effectively and efficiently. Working independently and as part of a team to maintain the operating condition of industrial mobile equipment including preventative maintenance and repair using tools and devices consistent with the mechanics trade as well as power lifting devices.
Duties & Responsibilities

Maintenance of lift trucks and various heavy equipment by regular preventative maintenance and repair

Work as a team member in a busy shop environment

Complete assigned maintenance and repairs in a timely manner
Skills, Education & Experience
-
Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Mechanic (421A) OR Red Seal Truck and Coach Technician (310T) with extensive equipment experience
-
Experience with diesel lift-trucks, loaders, and other heavy equipment
-
Experience working with Diesel Mi-jack Gantry Cranes repair and maintenance considered an asset.

Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, and welding is an asset.

Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and suggest corrective action.

Ability to learn new techniques and adapt to change.
