Job Description Bus Driver Full-time - Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Commences December 1, 2025
Crescent Heights Academy is looking for an occasional bus driver to implement
a bussing program including school drop off and pick up between campuses.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

School bus drivers are responsible for the safe operation of the vehicle, full compliance with safety regulations, effective student management, and proper emergency response. The CHA bus driver is also responsible for the operational service of the school bus including ensuring appropriate liquid levels, tire pressure, the daily check, cleanliness of the bus, and to ensure adherence of the maintenance schedule of the lease with Lynch Bus Services.

Driver Abstract: School bus drivers must provide a current driver abstract at least annually from the date of hire. This abstract provides information about their driving history and helps assess their qualifications. CHA is required to obtain a current N-Print driver abstract for every driver at the time of hire

Coordinate and implement emergency drills as directed by school leadership

Ensure all planned trips are run as scheduled

Deal with bus breakdowns or service interruptions including arranging alternative transportation when necessary

Adhere to our bus repair schedule

Transfer buses requiring repair to/from shop

Ensure buses are fully fueled prior to trips

Ensure bus is cleaned frequently

Enroll in driver training and support as needed

Drive the bus as needed
Qualifications:
Class 2 Driver’s License
Criminal Record Check
Safe driving record of a commercial vehicle
Experience driving a school bus
Canadian residency and be legally entitled to work in Canada
First Aid Certificate
Collaborative team member
Effective communication skills
A self-starter, someone who sees a need, and strives for solutions
